Technical access data (server logs)

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits technical access data required to deliver the pages securely and reliably, including:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Requested URL and HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Referrer URL (where transmitted by your browser)
  • Browser type, version, and operating system

Direct correspondence by email

If you contact us at info@evercursion.ai or privacy@evercursion.ai, we process the personal data you provide (such as your email address, name, and the content of your message) solely to respond to and handle your inquiry.

4. Cookies and local storage

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels on this website.

We do not set cookies on this website. If your browser stores a display theme preference locally (for example under the key theme), that value stays on your device and is not transmitted to us as a tracking identifier. You can clear it at any time by deleting site data in your browser settings.

5. Embedded content (YouTube)

Selected research notes include embedded lectures hosted on YouTube. Preview thumbnails are served locally from our own domain, and we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), loading the video player only after you actively click to play. Until you click, no connection to YouTube or Google servers is established.

Once you start a video, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) processes technical connection data (including your IP address and device information) under its own responsibility. The legal basis for loading the player upon your action is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (providing the content you explicitly requested). For further details, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Purposes and legal bases

We process the technical access data described in Section 3 for the following purposes:

  • Delivering the website and ensuring a stable connection
  • Maintaining system security and operational integrity
  • Detecting, preventing, and investigating technical abuse

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable public website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and for strictly necessary local storage pursuant to Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy).

The processing of email inquiries is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual or contractual communication, where applicable) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering inquiries addressed to us).

7. Recipients and processors

We do not sell or rent personal data. Where necessary to operate this website or handle correspondence, technical data are processed by carefully selected service providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR:

Website hosting and content delivery

This website is hosted and delivered via Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA) under a Data Processing Agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, utilizing European edge and compute nodes where available.

External media (only upon user interaction)

If you actively play an embedded video on a research note, your browser connects directly to Google Ireland Limited / YouTube as an independent controller.

8. International transfers

We prioritize data processing within the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA). Where technical infrastructure or content delivery involves providers based in the United States (such as Vercel Inc., or Google LLC when you load a YouTube embed), transfers take place on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR) and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.

9. Retention

Short-term server and edge access logs are retained for up to 7 days for operational and security purposes and are then deleted automatically, unless a security incident requires longer preservation as evidence.

Email correspondence is retained only for as long as necessary to complete your inquiry and to comply with statutory commercial or tax retention periods under Portuguese and EU law.

Any optional local browser preferences (such as display theme) remain in your browser until you clear your site data.

10. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures pursuant to Art. 32 GDPR to protect personal data against accidental loss, alteration, and unauthorized access, including transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS), strict HTTP security headers, and least-privilege access controls.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR);
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
  • erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR);
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR);
  • withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future where processing is based on consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR);
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority for our seat in Portugal is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Av. D. Carlos I, 134 - 1.º, 1200-651 Lisboa, Portugal. You may also contact the supervisory authority of your habitual residence or place of work within the EU/EEA.
